Workbench Magazine January-February 1968 Kamakura Cottage

This is a scanned document of the now defunct Workbench Magazine of this era. Permission was granted by the new Workbench Publication for The Patriot Woodworker community to copy and use the old Workbench Magazine at our pleasure, and for free distribution and re-use.

A real conversation piece, this lamp is patterned after an actual house in Kamakura, Japan, not far from the famous giant Buddha. The how-to-build plans have been simplified from
the original lamp without affecting its purpose, which is to provide a soft glow of light from the mullioned windows and doors.
