October 19, 20223 yr Popular Post Picking up an almost full 15lb CO2 tank I found on C-list for the wire feed welder this morning. Guy was using it in a beer brewing rig of some sorts, but gave up that hobby. Would cost more than double what the seller wanted to refill the current tank. Have been wanting to get a spare tank, so I don't have to run for a refill in the middle of doing something. Now I'll have to remember to get tanks refilled as I empty them. That reminds me, neighbor still needs to refill the oxygen tank we used up doing the boiler system last heating season. The smaller backup tank doesn't last very long when trying to get pipes apart that have been together for more than 50 years.
October 19, 20223 yr and on the theme of "cleaning up", just back from my morning walk, about 2 miles, filled a 5 gallon bucket with trash that was along the road. mostly beer cans.
October 19, 20223 yr my plank of cherry from Cook Woods arrived! let it acclimate for a week or so to my very dry environment, then i'll get to work making it into a nice size cremation remains box for my wife's remains and mine later on. yeah, i'll probably show some pics along the way. don't know why UPS didn't drive up the driveway and drop it at the house, but rather just leaned it against the gate post (gate was open). thankfully, got an email from Cook, saying it had been delivered, so wandered down and grabbed it before it went missing. hey, $335 worth of cherry is not cheap!
