August 17, 20223 yr Stepson called night before last. Having problems with his 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Power Steering warning, and Check Engine Light on, and Speedometer not working. Went over yesterday with the code reader, cleared codes, test drove, both came back before we got around the block, and the Speedometer still not working. So started looking/feeling around and found the eight wire harness that goes down to the Power Steering Motor (Yes Motor electronic assist power steering), Vehicle Speed Sensor, and what I think is the Reverse Light Switch had somehow got caught in the shift cables and cut clean off except for one wire. At first thought it might have been rodent damage so had him drive it out to the house. Was reaching over/behind motor/trans when found. Had to remove the Fuse/Relay box to gain better view/access, and found the harnesss had been routed under the shift cables instead of over. Of course Chevy just had to use two Pink/Black Stripe wires in this harness, and of course they go to two different locations. Hopefully I can match up the cuts on those two wires, otherwise I'll need to find a schematic. Stepson said he had replaced an 02 sensor, so I'm now wondering if when done the harness might have accidently got pulled into the shift cables. I'll be routing them over the shift cables after they're repaired.

August 18, 20223 yr Popular Post ,...Funny, I used the zero-turn mower yesterday. Today dead battery. ,...Guess trying to get a fifth season out of that $20.00 used medical grade electric scooter battery was asking a bit too much. ,... I'll have to go to 7 Mile Fair on Saturday to see if Tommy has any more of those. He says if they ever quit bring it back and I'll give you another.

August 18, 20223 yr Popular Post Very nice! Excellent selection and, arrangement of the bottom panels. Hope you get your price at the market. Whatever the price, it can't compensate for your loving ministrations from the old beam, to this beauty.

You should see how fast the gals dig into their purses and pockets. I'm using an image of that base as my phone 'wallpaper'. Before Micro-Mesh buffing. More of a dry look. My aunt has it now too. And when people are 'just browsing' I can Airdrop the image to their phones. "Free Screensaver" I've got another 5-piece base finished, just applied JCS wax to see what happens. Will check it tomorrow. Makes more sense to do the final 1500-12,000 grit buffing, then take pictures for the screen saver. So the next one will be "new and improved". Also working on gluing techniques. Less glue, applied along the lower part of the seam. So it only pushes out of one side. Some of these woods are so dry, excess glue wicks into adjacent pores and cannot be sanded or scraped "out". Maybe start a Gallery of "phone screen wallpaper" images.
