June 15, 20224 yr Man, that’s nice! One thought, maybe recess the T-track into the frame for more support what type of wheels will you use?
June 15, 20224 yr Author The track as it is with the two hold down screws can’t be moved by hand. I figured if I had a problem I would add something to the sides. I am also planning on getting some knobs instead of the wing nuts, they didn’t have any local.
June 15, 20224 yr Keep an eye on it. The aluminum track may not be rigid enough and give a vibration.

When the wheels are on they won’t have to be extended very far which should make them more sturdy in my thinking. It was cheap and I thought I would give it a try. The way it sits in the picture I can’t twist, bend or shake the track using pretty good force. Why I went with the track was in my thinking I should be able to raise the wheels at least half way past the opening to turn larger pieces.
June 15, 20224 yr Author I should be able to raise the center of the wheel to the first support bolt.
June 16, 20224 yr I like the way you cut the bulge to mount the track. I made my knobs from flatstock and an insert. Cut the slot with router instead of using trac.

June 19, 20224 yr You might want to look at used inline skates at the thrift stores. Usually cheap and work well

They were hard plastic with a rubber type tire. The rubber part separated and came off. They still worked but the harder plastic left indents on the turning

June 19, 20224 yr you can wash wheel but don't think they will embed. Just pick the cleanest. Mine were worn down somewhat but still circular.
