We had great parking that year; close to the main entrance. Downside was leaving. First in turned out to be last out...like 2 hours after concert ended.
May 25, 20224 yr Popular Post Would love to see The Stones. Any band my age and still Rockin On desrves an audience. Other than a few ad hoc jazz combos, our last live music experience was CCR...a looong time ago. College days.
May 25, 20224 yr Popular Post There IS a band that brings back that old style of Rock & Roll.....3 brothers, and 2 sisters.....19 yr old Melody can cover Dio, Ozzy, Joan Jett, and Janis Joplin to the point you'd swear they were using pre-recorded songs...until you hear these kids live. I have been down the "Rabbet hole" of their play list, yep, they are THAT good. BTW: dial up "Sail away" by Liliac......then, dial up "Mars"....both are Original songs by this Family band....Then a cover of Lita Ford & Ozzy's song..."Close your eyes forever"...Lead singers are spot on.....Melody Cristea also taught herself to play AND write for the Flute....
May 25, 20224 yr Popular Post Honey-do task is done... 4 tools cleaned of rust bunnies... As to where the bits will go... Chisel needs sharpened... Carpenter Jeans have a large Blood stain....now. 1/2" long cut on the back of the left hand...right between the knuckles....kept wondering why 2 fingers wanted to stick to each other......Hmmm, that will leave a mark... Ya think? Edited May 25, 20224 yr by steven newman Photos

He'd ask, "How much blood?". Seems you have to lose over a pint to get him much concerned. Two pints is better if he wants to make some money off of you.
May 26, 20224 yr Well, this week started out well with the patio furniture but has taken a turn with the removal of my upper wisdom teeth. I have a feeling I am going to be feeling this for a couple days.

May 26, 20224 yr Popular Post In my teens, I used to have terrible sinus headaches. Joined the AF and, they pulled my wisdom teeth. Wallah! No more headaches. Well, except the hangovers.

My MIL made me a steak when I had all four done at the same time. The future wife at the time knew by the look on my face I wasn't going to let that fly. Walked over to the trash can, removed and deposited the gauze pads. MIL was freaking out as she watched it disappear. Took me an hour but I managed to eat the whole thing chewing with only my front teeth. Didn't feel too bad the next day. Didn't need any pain killers.

I was thinking more of nsaids instead of opioids. Having had that constipation problem with Perquisite I know full well the cure is usually much worse than the disease.

May 26, 20224 yr Popular Post I am currently on non-prescription levels of Advil and honestly the pain level is trivial. This is very unlike when I had the lower 2 removed by some military hack dentist in the Army. That was really painful even with the Tylenol3 and he managed to do some wonderful nerve damage with the blocking agent that prevented me from tasting anything for about 2 years. By comparison, this is going to be a breeze.
May 26, 20224 yr Popular Post Forgot to mention they also had to remove the two molars in front of the uppers due to being impacted. The "Wisdoms" had grown in under or would that be above them. Dentist didn't want the job due to me having double jaw bones where the inside set of roots are imbedded between the jaw bones. There's some pre-historic sounding term that it's described as but I can't remember how it's pronounced. Makes for some strange looking x-rays. Ended up having to go to an Oral Surgeon and after he explained that the teeth would have to be quartered to be removed, I told him "Better do them all at once, because if I'm too sore from only getting half done good luck getting me to come back". Man that "GAS" is a trip.
