May 23, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_291409 I need to make a couple of TV trays and a drink stand (my name for it) for our daughter, I did manage to dig the wood out and get most of it trimmed up over the weekend. May get the rest of the stuff done this week....or not. Edited May 23, 20224 yr by Fred W. Hargis Jr Report

May 23, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_291446 Time to start the re-mowing project. Granddaughter will be playing the pick-up-sticks game. Some ball games this week too. Wedding Friday afternoon...small, immediate family & a few friends, very informal, with a catered meal at our church after. Looks like I'm regaining my title of FIL again. Not sure if those letters go in front or behind my name? Gotta go. Need to call the Vanderbuilt's and Post's for clarification. Report
May 23, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_291448 Got to clean up some in shop after turning club weekend. The demo was on a Morocco bowl which is turned and embellished with Sorby Spiraling tool and then dye and liming wax. Planning my own version. Report

It was quite a show both on the stage and eleswhere. IMS had a spectacular fireworks celebration after. It was a "bucket list" event. However, Mrs. Grandma Grandpadave and I learned we were out of touch with today's concert crowds, second hand "smoke" is harmful, getting home at 4A wasn't fun anymore, recovery time is prolonged after age 60 and perhaps some bucket list items should stay in a bucket. May 24, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_291517 Road Trip today..Boss had errands to run...so...I snuck over the my Hardwood Supplier...and got talked out of buying Ash, this time.. Picked up some Maple, instead...we cut down 4 boards to better fit the Chevy...Boards were 3/4" x 5-3/4" x 117", and there was a short thrown in.. Total spent, today? $17 With a good chance of having a bit of spalt to it....and a bit of live edge... Let this stack sit a few days...while I figure out what to make for June's Project.... Fred: There is a Barn Venue north of Moulton,OH....That was where the Wedding took place. Wedding itself was in the Loft, the Reception was don on the ground floor, catered by Olive Garden. Report
May 25, 20224 yr Popular Post comment_291527 I was unaware of that place, and we lived in Moulton (for those not familiar, Moulton is nothing more than a crossroads with a church, LP terminal, and what used to be a grain elevator) the first 22 years we lived in the area. Nice wood, BTW. I'm a big fan of spalted maple. Report
