Okay, last one of these I promise but I had an idea and just had to give it a try. I wanted to make one of these with curly hair. I didn't find exactly what I looking for but I'm pretty happy with what I found. Because of how this one is made I needed to put a bottom in it. One thing leads to another and I wondered about giving it some feet. This is the result. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what is the hair?

Looks like batting to me as well. I do like how it turned out.

Wow, some great ideas that I hadn't thought of. I will definitely keep those in mind. In the interest of full disclosure I found this only because I was walking past the paint department on my way to find some fiberglass furnace filters thinking those might work. This is a heavy nap paint roller for concrete. The bonus, the body is not turned at all. Just cut a section from the tube and turned the hat and the nose. I had planned on just putting a plug in the bottom when the feet idea presented itself.

Yeah, he needs to come out of those steam pipe tunnels and get a good stretch.
