March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post Friday again folks. Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" we're taking a weekend break. It's supposed to hit 66° tomorrow and I might try wading through the yard to see just how much of a mess Winter left behind. Then again I might just do nothing. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post I can't stop this visual... 66* in Wisconsin, on Mar. 5th, Larry is in the yard... is it snow blindness, or just the reflection off a ghostly white figure of a man in a speedo? My eyes! My eyes! Anyhow, I need to mow the weeds today. Maybe go pick up that lumber for the headboard? Birthday party to attend on Sunday. And I am fooling around with truck #2 that threw a CEL coming back from Macon earlier in the week. Code PO171, lean. Most of the problem seems to have been a dry and cracked PCV hose, tucked up underneath an airbox over the throttle body. But not all the problem. Early diagnosis sorta points to a MAF sensor but I need to do a bit more checking before I spend good money on that.
March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post Never ending (seemingly) shop cleaning and organization/reorganization on tap for today. Saturday is TBD. Likely, a continuation of today's job. Sunday, we visit our son's place for a family get together and meal. Phyl and SIL will build a "fruit pizza" to take. BIL and I will help eat it.
March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post Little free library leaves on Saturday. Some shop cleanup and maybe a start on the Manzanita root.
March 4, 20224 yr Follow-up trip to vet for Cat in a bit. Church Sunday if possible. Maybe some puttering in the garage tomorrow, we'll see how I'm feeling. Good news, after 2+ years of being locked away in a vault somewhere, the common cold has resurfaced and is on the prowl. The bad news, some of its early victims has be my wife and myself. Irony is the doctor even prescribed common antibiotics for symptoms.
March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post Want to head outside and take advantage of some early Spring weather. More shop cleaning wouldn't hurt but no promises.
March 4, 20224 yr Popular Post May try to get some of the winter mess, limbs, whatnot, out of the yard.
March 5, 20224 yr Popular Post Going on a road trip to San Diego on Sat to pick up a new bandsaw which should be interesting. Sun it’s back on the media room. Paul
March 5, 20224 yr Popular Post Cleaned up some in shop and began where I left off on finishing of couple drawer organizers for toolbox. Played with bending some acrylic sheet and gluing them together. Will see how that looks tomorrow. Maybe not pretty but I'll take functional drawer organizers.
March 5, 20224 yr Popular Post Second day at the Ag Museum spring farm fest and had more sales in one day than for the 3 last year. One more day tomorrow, just so much fun winning friends and influencing people.

March 5, 20224 yr Popular Post Except for the numbers, that I'm deciding on, the Shut the Box games are ready for the toy drive in November. Unfortunately, due to toy safety, I can't add any finish, except for the one I'm keeping. I think it will be good thing for the older kids and for ones that need practice with addition and subtraction math skills. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shut_the_box
March 6, 20224 yr Popular Post Hmmm...I guess I simply slept through Friday.... Was even a bit too busy, today.. Wait until you see what the tablesaw did... Had a lot of half lap joints to do.. And... Quickest way? Get a bit "chippy"...then break these off,,then.. Pare it flat with a chisel..then a test fit... To see IF it is tight enough...and deep enough..
