Nothing got "done" over the weekend.  Daughter came in for a quick overnight visit and we did that, visit :)

I have gotten a good start on a window sash craft project which I hope may be finished this week.

And taxes, I have started our taxes.  Still waiting on a few misc forms...

Monday?

Last thing I remember it was Friday. <_<

:ChinScratch: Must be those past Midnight shifts working on "The B) Cool School Beast".

Didn't have camera with me but instead of working on the north end of the west tunnel we replaced the south end of the east tunnels steam trap. Required a bit of pipe rework because we replaced a 4 port trap with a 2 port. Fired "The Beast" up and within 5 minutes big banging started. Got into north end of the tunnel and that trap is totally plugged with no heat coming through. So today we'll be getting into that. I'm going to try using the boiler to force the plug out of the system by opening the pipe stub trap located before the strainer which is before that trap. The one on the south end was also rather plugged when we tore it down. Also adding Blow-Off valves to those.

It appears that the softening/conditioning/descaling cartridges are doing their job as we're getting quite a bit of crap out of the strainers that we've already replaced. Those Blow-Off valves sure make it easier to drain the crap out. All of the plugs in the original strainers and traps are froze tight.

Can't even get the plugs loose after heating around them red hot with the Oxy/Acetylene torch, broke one off trying. :Tapping:

Gotta run :SaluteandRun:Bruce just called and is ready to get started. :WhoMe:

Survived, so far, Snowmagedden 2022 relocation efforts. Ventured out yesterday for church then transported youngest granddaughter back to campus across state. Short celebration with her too as it was her 19th birthday. It will take me most of today to recover from that much time in a vehicle.

A couple of meetings at church this week. Not much else on the agenda. Too cold to be in the garage plus a foot of snow on the ground prevents anything outside so pretty much house bound.

Like Cal, my weekend was pretty much spent out of the shop. Saturday was full of activities worthy of the named day. i.e. Sat ur day away.... in front of one screen or, another. Sunday, our first born...by 12 minutes... and, his wife and daughter, came here and prepared us a meal of Albondigas soup.  (Mexican Meatball soup) It was DEEE LUSHUS! Followed by Phyl's very rich Ghirardelli chocolate Brownies, which were equally tasty. There's a bit of both left over for lunch.

Today, I'm going to let a professional remedy a month's worth of tonsorial neglect and, Phyl's going to Costco...I'm glad she didn't request my accompaniment...She's stocking up for Wednesday's arrival of her bro. and SIL from IL for a month's stay. They bring their own living quarters and, park it in our back yard. It's always great to have them here. They're good people.

I would like to sit and watch the snow melt.  I am plenty tired of it.  Might get a few days in the 30s and 40s this week but I'm not expecting a big melt.  Staying in the shop and doing the ornaments again this week.  Almost done.

That soup looks mighty tasty Gene!  I generally have soup every day for lunch, I'll have to suggest to Mrs. to look for a recipe :)

To quote Garfield...."Know what the best thing about waking up on a Monday?":WonderScratch:

Neither do I.

Got a few glue-ups done over the weekend....shoveled a lot of that white crap.....snow being a 4 letter word.

Might just take the rest of today off....

Had woodworkers meeting in my shop Saturday and the woodturning demo went well. So well that the March meeting is back in my shop to discuss and demo planes. Spent some time prepping handle blanks.

Sunday morn to church then settle in for some Dr Who marathon. About to go to shop now and work on those handle maybe ..... unless something else catches my eye.

:ChinScratch: Amazing how much of a rusty steam cloud you can release with 8 P.S.I. of boiler pressure. :JawDrop:

:throbbinghead:

At least the Deputy called off the Fire Dept.

And once the steam line was clear we removed this plugged up mess from the north end of the east tunnel.

Ended up having to collapse the two remaining pipe nipples to remove them due to pin holes in the threads.

And replaced the mess with this. Running the steam trap along the wall gained us about a foot more room to get past it in the tunnel.

:ChinScratch: So how do you fit 6'3" into a 34" tall tunnel? :WonderScratch:
