Yes, description reads "accurate +/- 2% and comes with certification" but traceable certification to what? Perhaps to NIST, but I have my doubts. Next would be the risk for damage to any fastener the same as with any adjustable wrench. Last, at least in manufacturing, the ability to change torque settings doesn't fly; too much opportunity for human error. Maybe for an average DIYer?

I would steer anyone away from this for the same reasons you stated. I thought it was a hoax when I first saw it.

Hey Cal, IDK what happened way back in January. Totally missed this post. Yes I had been following Deere's along with Cat's off-road mining trucks, excavators and wheel loaders. Amazing technology until the batteries go dead in the remote

Pretty much used it all up now. Occasionally I'll score some within new automotive parts packages but generally small pieces. Save all the little desiccant bags found in New items; even the little ones in pill bottles. Keep them in zip lock bags inside cleaned peanut butter jars. Some can be "renewed" by heating up...others one-n-done.

As a 5-year-old, I heard my neighbor complaining to my mom about her husband. He was 'teaching' her his method for getting the last bit of PB out of the jar. Mom said he had been a bachelor too long. While my excuse is that I prefer my kitchen table to look like this:

My method is easy - after getting the last trace of PB out I fill the jar about 3/4 full of water and add a pump of hand or dish soap. Screw the lid on, give it a good shake and sit up upside down in the sink. Leave it overnight, the next day give it another good shake and sit it upright for the day. On day three give it another good shake and dump the contents outside. It is pretty much rinse and done at that point. No battle required Edited April 30, 20224 yr by Cal

Then cleaning process pretty much same as yours Cal, except I use Dawn dish soap. If it will take crude oil off ducks safely, figured it would work for PB...it does. Once cleaned thoroughly, then hand wash with other dishes, air dry, then rehome to the garage. No muss, little fuss and recycled in house.
