December 20, 20214 yr Popular Post Well, the feeding trough was a semi bust. Its closed Monday ahd Tuesday. But, we went to the second best for breakfast. Then, on to the DeGrazia studio(s). Very interesting. He was a very prolific artist. Paintings sculptures and ceramics. Then, another couple galleries and, finally an outlet mall. Phyl and I are pooped. Tomorrow it's a mercado In downtown Tucson and, a visit to The White Dove of the Desert...San Javier Del Bac. The first Spanish mission this far north. Built in the 1500s under Father Kino and protected by General Pizzaro. Might get in the shop Wednesday... TBD!
December 21, 20214 yr Popular Post Away from home and shop for a couple days I guess that is the price of gainful employment sometimes. I should get home later today and hopefully get the heat fixed in the shop which would be really nice.
December 21, 20214 yr Popular Post Monday put me over the hump! Coffee & sofa tables are nearly complete. Applied finish yesterday, so hopefully assembly will occur today. Glass is "supposed" to be here today, hope it fits Son came in Saturday eve to spend Christmas with us, his SO flies in Wednesday to join us also. Daughter and her SO are, I think, coming in Wednesday too. So we will have a house full for the next few days. If the glass makes it in today and fits I should be able to do some visiting without the added stressors

December 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Just a little update, finally got the HVAC guys out today and I now have heat in the shop. Glorious heat. I was also able to pick up some Ash and Ipe today so I have some work to do making blanks for handles and mallets which should keep me busy for a minute

December 23, 20214 yr Popular Post Heard from the radiologist yesterday. Some kind of dang calcium build up in my knee. Doc said it's like gout but with calcium instead of uric acid causing the problem. Not sure what they are going to do about it as yet but I have an appointment with an Orthopedic in mid-January. Still taking it pretty easy, but this "flair up" is about done. .40
