Well believe it or not my decorating is done but the wife has two more trunks to go thru. Getting ready for Sunday School party Tuesday. I have one more night of a show at the Ag Museum tonight. Tomorrow will kick full blast into gift making. Who knows I might get done early;)

Still tinkering with rolling pin holders. Ready for the finish but need to clean the shop a bit before doing that.

Hey, @Larry Buskirk, maybe new batteries in the remote or unplug the TV for a minute or so and try again.

Tried both last night, and left it unplugged over night. Came back on stuck on FOX :PullingHair:this morning.:(

@Larry Buskirk...what lew said. I've had similar happen on our LG (not so smart) TV as well as Dish receiver. I've had to do both at different times. So far, always cures issue.

Didn't get that lucky. When I plugged it back in and it came back on I slapped the back and even lost FOX when colored lines showed up on the screen.

:ChinScratch:Not much in 32" TV's to choose from around here.  Plenty of bigger ones that wouldn't fit in the cabinet of course. <_<

We did find a 32" Vizio 1080P (Smarter than me :BangingHead:) on sale at Target that came up at even better price at the checkout. :WonderScratch:

( I wasn't going to complain :WhoMe: SWMBO almost said something before she realized it came up cheaper. )

Got  it set up in time for Forged In Fire.

we (ok, my wife) have 47 boxes of decorations.  we're almost done, tree is last, and lights on the gate (solar).  too cold and windy today for that task.  maybe tomorrow midday.

Decluttering has proceeded to the point that I can find a path, now. The FrankenSmith is operational....finally.  So, it's on to slicing up some walnut for those Limbert tables. Before we moved off the mesa, the table lumber had been prepared. Now, the task is to find which pile it's in. :BangingHead:

Gene, I built that Limbert table...it's actually not as easy as one would think.

Might try my hand at making labels for these 2 boxes..

Great boxes Steven.  I might suggest that you also add labels to one end of the boxes.  You never know but that you might find it easier to store them that way at some future point. :)

a date to fix up the large chile that normally hangs on the gate.

Cool chile DAB!  Does that stay on the gate, or is it holiday decor only?

I've a weekend in front of me.  I completed the appliance garage construction yesterday and got two coats of wipe on poly to the inside.  I plan to do two additional coats today and then it will be paint to the outside later today and tomorrow.

I did buy some tables at auction yesterday so I will spend a bit of time fleshing out the actual plans for a pair of tables for the living room.  I already have in mind what I want and ordered some glass for the tops yesterday also.  Don't know if they will be done before Christmas, but I will give it a shot.  One day next week will be spent fetching those tables...

that chile is normally on the gate all year.  down for repairs now, just a large wreath on the gate presently.

the winter snows cover a lot of dirt (ugly) and dried up plants (also ugly).

Snow has many redeeming qualities: feeds the plants, smoothes out rough edges, and hides all the yard sins that the HOA gets so upset about.

When I was designing and building products we used to say, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

I heard this morning that the AWS (Amazon Web Service) outage this week prevented people from using their smartphones to start their Roombas.  Geez!

I made a trip down to Lost Art Press this morning, a ton of rain on the way down.  Lots of idiots without their lights on on I71.  It was good to see Chris and Fitz this morning.  Looked at a few of their books, but didn't buy anything.  Stopped to see the Menards tool sale on the  way home.  I got $32 worth of tools (for the grandsons) for $4 after rebate.  They had some good deals on power tools and QuickClamps, but I didn't really need any.  (I know, sacrilege to say I don't need more clamps)

Spent most of the morning helping my son make a materials list for a vanity. He looked all over Tucson for one and concluded that Dad could build one better. Not cheaper but, better. It'll have four drawers and two doors, in 48". His eyes kinda glazed over when we got to talking about Euro hinges, templates and, the amount of BB for those skinny 1' wide drawers... minus the ball bearing glides.

Had to make a Hardware run to TSC (kinda like a Rural King) for a  propane tank regulator and hoses so I can get the 30000 BTU heater going. Might be overkill but we brought it with us from the cold country. So, why not use it. No more cold mornings in the shop, for this old man!

the vanity i made has 11 drawers, 5 each side, plus on in the center behind the door (for cleaning supplies).  yeah, not cheap with all the drawer glides and lumber, but my wife loves it.  nice shallow drawers up top for small stuff, no digging thru stuff to find what you want.

The shop heater is operational. 42° out side. 59° in the shop, this morning. Up on the mesa, the heater operated 24/7 during the cold months. We were on a well and the pressure pump and tank was in the shop. Consequently, the propane tank for the shop was a rented 50 gallon one. Down here, I can't find a propane delivery service that will rent and service any thing less than a 250 gallon tank. So, my tank is a 40 lb. one. A 100 lb. tank was considered but, since I have to haul it 15 miles for refills, my back told me a full 40 lb. tank was my limit. Depending on how long this one lasts, I may need a second one as a back up. Time will tell.
