Friday? :JawDrop:

What's going on here?

Something must have happened going through that time warp to "Three Weeks From Anywhere" <_<

Seems like the last thing I knew it was Monday.

:ChinScratch: While I'm trying to figure this out, What's on your weekend agenda? :WonderScratch:

It has been raining on & off most all week, but after some heavy overnight rains I think it has now cleared out and is supposed to be sunny and 60-80's for the next ten days.

I will likely be doing yard work most all weekend.  Most, as we do have a game to watch Saturday.  UGA vs. Auburn.  Auburn has been a spoiler for us in past years...

I have an a/c unit off the roof of nephew's camper sitting in my shop.  I will probably tinker with that, test it and clean it up what I can during the game Saturday afternoon.

Still trying to fit everything in the tin can. Free floor space is becoming quite scarce.  Need to clear some space to do some work on a couple machines. The Jointech/Frankensmith parts are taking up a bunch of space so, that seems the most logical machine to reassemble next. Then, there's an over arm router table to put back together so I can sell it. Finally, I need to replace several cutters on the Shelix planer head. At my normal pace, those things will likely take me well into next week. :BangingHead:

We are expecting relatives in two weeks. The Honey-Do List will take all that and more...

headed to the range to help work a Glock match.  if i'm not needed running the timer, I'll go fix up the Bianchi barricades that someone shot up by using them as a target stand.  Despite clear writing stating "DO NOT SHOOT".  sigh.  people are morons.  have spare parts and tools.  take about an hour to fix up what I observed last time.

pretty sure no one will hand me a stack of Benjamins. bummer.

Their fees pay for it so what's the problem?

Yes they are!

I"ve got some errands to do tomorrow.  Long awaited back ordered for nearly 3 months lathe bed extension showed up out of the blue today.  Can be mounted two ways, low position allows an extra 2" diameter (16" swing) for outboard turning and high position to add an extra 13" to the bed.  Are there any additional safety factors I should be aware of for outboard turnning?

Will try to get some actual turning done on Sunday.

Friday came and went....grocery run was done....too much walking around, not enough pain meds...

Too many phone calls, today.   I see the knee doctor next Tuesday morning.   They seem to forget I LANDED ON MY LEFT SIDE.....knee was messed up by tripping over the mower.....and, I no longer bounce like in the long ago past......

Will try to draw up a plan that the single brain cell sketch up wants me to try to build....once I can get back into the shop, along with a 1 x 6 x 74" plank....

Got more of the back yard mowed today.  As I pushed the mower a bit at a time, fog expelled from the mower deck.  So much water from our week's worth of 12+ inches.  But, it is now down to where I can mow it again next week.  Will clean out the van this weekend.  Getting it ready for the body shop to keep and drive for a week or 2.  Some growth of wild bushes to cut in the yard.  Just hoping the wife recovers from this upper respiratory infection.  Antibiotics and prednisone.  I am feeding her now and giving her medications.  Oh, the joy.

This weekend is finally pretty relaxing and i get some time to play in the shop.  This morning I picked up 60 BF of 15/16 Cherry for a very reasonable price.  It is going to have to sit for a while before i can use it but I don’t mind waiting, I have a lot of other things to work on in the meantime.  Speaking of other things, I am done with most of the cutouts on the modified Paulk outfeed/assembly table I am building.  Tomorrow I will get everything assembled and ready to finish.  After that I have a number of tool carts and a lumber cart to get done. So much to do.

On the good side, I had forgotten how nice pattern routing is and on the bad side, just how much sawdust it makes with no real good way to collect it.

long day at the range, after running a mess of shooters thru my stage, put down the timer and went to fix up the damaged walls, and then hid them away from casual use, those they are intended for know where to find them.

Didn’t get as far as I wanted to this weekend.  There was emergency landscaping to do, an RV gate to repaint, too much interaction with extended family, and a honey do list that was generated by the interaction with the extended family.  Did get some sticks cut for the cherry and need to stack it properly when I get a few minutes.  Just handling the boards I can tell they are at vastly different moisture levels.

I have been wanting to build a take on a Shaker style platform bed for the longest time and most of that is going to be allocated to that project.

There isn't as many flat tires today as there were years ago.  I would bet that most of the blowouts today are a result of neglected tire pressure.
