The timeline is sped up which is fun and keeps it moving. Also, they are one of our link partners, The Patriot Woodworkers are proud to have Doucette and Wolfe connecting with us, and us to them. August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post I've a pretty busy week ahead of me. Need to mow the lawn today before we get some of Ida's outer rain bands move through on Tuesday. Not a lot of rain expected, but likely enough to keep me out of the yard. Preparing to ship the old Pontiac up to Ohio, so I want to do a good wash/wax and detail on it. Already receiving bids on the shipment (Uship.com) and will complete this process during the week. I will be sad to see it go, but it will give me a bit more space in the garage!
August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post Busy weekend. Had a visit from @Cal to pick up a sander. Bunch of little items to get done. Finished mount for air line. Got cover installed over air lines in compressor room. And made a base with wheels for this cabinet. Then mounted smaller cabinet on top.
August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post Not a lot of time for the shop, today. Eye Dr.'s appt. at 08:05, an hour's drive away. Then, pick up some materials at the close by Lowes. It'll be 10:00 or later, when I get home. Hopefully, we'll be able to pick up the mower some time today. That's another hours drive, one way. Lots of unproductive windshield time.
August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post Finally a day that we're not melting in the shade! Monday Think I might just take it easy and enjoy the cooler day.
August 30, 20214 yr Monday? Meh...I now have an appointment with a knee doctor tomorrow....Thinking there MIGHT be something torn inside the knee...can't get down TO the shop, right now......am on the DL...... Looking like going to Tractor Fest this year is not going to happen...
August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post Got one each of the trusses done, then finished the smaller ones. Had to use the patio since the shed floor is gravel. Plan to set them Wednesday. It’s HOT, or I’m becoming a wimp!
August 30, 20214 yr Popular Post Finished up the last of the box elder bowls. Need to deliver them tomorrow or Wednesday. Checked the spouting, with the remnants of the hurricane headed this way making sure the water has someplace to go. Also caulked a piece of flashing that was leaking when the storms blow from the southeast. Expecting at least 4" of rain through Thursday. I have buckets if anyone needs the water.
August 31, 20214 yr Popular Post J.O.B. J.O.B. J.O.B.... Some of the software upgrades are going into production this week and next. Going to be hectic. Making a trip into the datacenter to decommission and rollout an old storage array. This will make room for a new VXRail system. .40
August 31, 20214 yr Popular Post Mowed both yards on Friday and Saturday night to prepare for all the 8 inches of rain so generously shared by Ida. She was so kind. At least, the temps dropped for a few days below 90. I did start on a steamy locomotive for a baby next door. By the time I get it done, he'll be off to school. After rain all day Sunday, Sunday night, all day Monday, the grass needs mowing again. Also set a gate post for an enclosure that folks think is public property. They come and play in the stream. So far, no one has been snake bitten and I hope they don't. When the bring the lawsuit, I'll have to have a fence in place with warning signs or I get punished. Amazing world. This week will be more work on the steamy. Will be posting pictures soon.
August 31, 20214 yr Popular Post Eye Doc said the bump in the corner of my left eye was no big deal. Just a sebaceous cyst. Doesn't sound too good to me but, he says not to worry. If it begins to really bother me he'll recommend surgery. Think I'll pass, for now. Two hour round trip for that info. Not to totally waste the trip, I did pick up some shop supplies and arranged to pick up a new mower, which we did, later. Spent most of yesterday on my butt, behind the wheel. Maybe today, some shop time can be had.
August 31, 20214 yr Popular Post Been Working on a Resin casting its a pretty big one how ever I'm hoping it turns out not sure about the air bubbles if they've managed to work themselves out as of yet but we shall see.

August 31, 20214 yr On Chair Parade for now....PT starts in the morning. Knee brace is now back on....getting the ice packs set up for later. Possible tear in the back of the knee....large blood clot causing the right knee to swell up....about twice the size of the Left Knee.... Until the Blood thinners have ended(60-90 days) they will not do any surgery to repair.....Busy day, today...I'm piloting the computer chair for the rest of today...I'm bushed. Walking with that cane is a chore....
