I finished up some lap joints on pine 1x2, and realized my bandsaw blade was twitching.  How'd I do this?  Is there a way to bend it back?  (Red line added for clarity)  It really looks wicked when running.  (picture is composite of the two bends, which are adjacent as shown)

 

Wow! Did you notice any vibration when you were making the cuts?  It looks like deformation is across the width of the blade! Is the blade new?

Sorry I see you mentioned twitching. Am I incorrect is saying the deformation is across the width of the blade?

Yes, deformation is width, IOW blade viewed side-on.  Viewed looking into the teeth, not deformed.

I did not notice the vibration while cutting; saw it afterward. The blade has about total 2 hours cumulative use.

Pete, possible causes might include 1. Upper guides set too high and/or 2. Not enough blade tension. 3. Twisted during a previous cut. 4. Damaged while off the machine. 

What is the blade width, tpi? 

Could someone have pushed it off the wheels while sawing something? And not told you about it. Maybe just put it back on and kept using it??? This would be about the only time the blade would have enough speed to bend with a crease. My little Sears 12" band saw using 1/4 and 1/8" blades come off quite often but have never bent unusable!  Seems like I got out of sorts because I could not fold it up like when it was new in a small roll and I stomped it a few times and bending it in a few places. Other wise my wood working episodes are usually calm and enjoyable.

Like @Smallpatch, I always have trouble getting the blades twisted back into to little circle orientation that they were shipped in. Could it have gotten bent from that? From the photo, it looks like a pretty narrow blade, itf that's the case, I'm leaning towards @Gene Howe's ideas 1 and 2.

I have never mastered the whole BS blade folding thing (and I have the scars to prove it!).  I store the blades unfolded (hang them on the wall, separated).  I also thus tend to use the same blade for everything!  

It's a 3/16" blade, and  4 tpi.  I'm the only user.  BS is Craftsman (ie, Rikon) 10".  Max cut height 4-5/8.

 

I am convinced I did something, but puzzled as to what it was.  Ah well, I need more packing material from Amazon anyway.
