May 28, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_266277 Friday again folks. Don't know what I'll get done today here "Two Weeks From Anywhere". We're starting out at 43° with and a WC of 34°, forecast high of 47° A couple of days ago we were in the high 70's, low 80's. So, what's on your weekend agenda? Report
May 28, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_266280 Three things. 1. Celebrating our 51st anniversary,2. Making a countertop for the city pool, 3. Headed to the Indy 500 on Sunday. Happy Memorial Day woodworkers. Remember why we have it. Report
May 28, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_266282 Today, help my son build a gate and help him wire and plumb a fountain for Phyl. Trenching is done.Tomorrow, begin the lumber rack build. Sunday, complete that build and start building the rest of the walls. At my pace, plywood will be cheaper by the time I'm ready...RIGHT! With my luck, I'll finish up and plywood will drop by 20-30%. Hope every one has a very enjoyable holiday and, as Ron said, remember and revere the fallen. Stay safe, too!. Edited May 28, 20215 yr by Gene Howe Report

May 28, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_266287 Here is a big "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE" going out to all our veterans on this Memorial Day weekend. I've got some honey do's on the list this weekend for sure. Last Tuesday one of the heavy12" round AC registers mounted on the ceiling fell to the floor with a loud crash. I was home alone working in my office when it happened...dang near fell out of my chair. Got to get that fixed. Mrs. Boss also hinted that we should go into the city and do some shopping. @#$*&^$ I'm going to add another 4' Dewalt rack for storage in the shop. That should be available at Home Despot later today. Perhaps there will be time for me to layout bench dog holes and get them bored out now that the vise is installed. I should be able to just roll the Shopsmith into position over the bench...<grins> .40 Report
May 28, 20215 yr Popular Post comment_266308 Ordered all the vinyl needed to do the porch and carport ceiling. Will pick it up on Tuesday and finally get started. Looking forward to never having to paint those ceilings again! Hope I still have muscle memory to pound nails overhead!! Report

Only need like 1 inch max length. Used them for years on all the vinyl siding work I have done. Including carport few years back. Report
