Happy Friday Everyone! :D

Wow, last Friday of the month already.

Was talking with neighbor yesterday, and he told me "It's Curb Shopping Season" again starting this coming week. :ChinScratch:

So .. What's on your last weekend of the months agenda?

The honey do list has not yet been revealed, plans subject to immediate change.  I've had bits and bobs of the really simple yet somehow expensive dust collection upgrade trickle in this week.  I plan on installing those and continuing the organization project.  I need to figure out where to put the jointer and air compressor.  Maybe I can get rid of a rolling metro cart that takes up 2 sq ft of floor space.

Plugging along on my William and Mary table. I had mentioned my trials and tribulations with the turned legs in a couple of other posts. I now have the stretchers done and the basic table is glued up. To make the stretchers I had to draw a paper template, the PWW article only gave a vague description of how to do this but with a little fussing around I got it.

Then there was a tricky 1/2 lap that had to be cut. The article made this out to be a much bigger deal than  it was. I made a jig to hold the stretcher, then clamped straight edges on both sides (the pic just shows one) and used a router.  I had mentioned in one of the other posts my feet weren't the same length (I parted one way too short). I couldn't come up with an easy solution with the four feet I made, so I had a spare block for a foot and turned a new one....much easier than anything else. My feet are completely different than the plans. The big reason was I didn't have a 3x3 piece of stock for the original design, the other reason was I just didn't like the bun feet the article had. So that's where I'm at for the moment.

I should have been asking you for advice on tap and die storage.  I really like what you are doing.

Working on a little mulberry bowl. Was supposed to be a natural edge type but some of the bark chipped off.

Got a little to aggressive with the CA and needed to rehab my Easy Chuck.

That is looking real nice Fred!  Looking forward to the type of feet you will use, I didn't really care for those large buns in the plan either.

A rare (for me) check in after lunch today.  It started raining about an hour ago; thunderstorm, dark as night, heavy rain beating on the windows, and I think I will wait a bit before heading down to the shop...

The wife has been painting on the dresser, this shot was taken earlier in the week and we used it to decide on the final color scheme.  I don't know if this cabinet paint we are using is any better than regular paint, but it calls for 8-10 hours between coats - so it is a slow process.

I have completed a mirror frame and have been applying finish, down to the last couple coats.  I may get one on this evening.  This pic was after the dye was applied.  The color is uniform, it must be the lighting showing those spots on the top of it.

The balance of my weekend, besides the mirror frame should be some yard work before I take on the next project... "heels"...
