November 7, 20205 yr Popular Post I have come to the pseudo-scientific conclusion that approximately 30 - 45% of all shop time is spent looking for "that thing I just had in my hand five seconds ago". This conclusion is based on numerous imprecise statistical analysis of prior projects, mountains of anecdotal evidence and copious amounts of frustration during many works in progress. I further have found that this holds true regardless of the type of shop (woodworking, metalworking, electrical, etc.) in which said projects occur. If anyone has any evidence to the contrary, I am willing to listen.
November 8, 20205 yr Popular Post ah.... there's your problem: you put things down! if you had 8 arms, like an octopus, you could use 2 to work, and have 6 remaining to hold things! i suggest turning into an octopus.

Man I have all I can do working with two arms and legs, never mind all those extras.

I suspect miniature wormholes or quantum movement is responsible. A lot of quantum physics problems could probably be solved in the shop.
