I've got one that holds about 6 cups of coffee, I'm not any good until I have that first mug. :BugEyeSmiley:

Probably going to need to be epoxy coated at least on the inside.

This is what popped in my head when you originally posted.  Second post, I am not so sure.

Don't have access to a lathe right now. Was hoping someone could turn me one and I could pay them for it.

We brew it strong enough it doesn't really need a mug.

It can stand on it's own. The mug just keeps it hot. :D

How about  a cup without handle?

I'll buy anything with or without a handle. Am looking to do some carving/burning on it as a time killer in the evenings. Will post pics when I am done.

At least 5 inches high, 4 inch diameter at bottom and 3 inch diameter across top.

Or bigger if it's easier!!!!!

Thanks!!

Sounds Doable. Any wood preference....cherry, walnut, live oak, elm, ash (maybe not the best), Osage orange (bo doc), bradford pear. Yea I have all those and if you want color (dye) may limit woods used. Osage Orange may have cracks. Oh also have magnolia

Not sure this will work as has a bark inclusion. 962DC4C1-F6D3-4251-A087-77CC858A960B.jpeg.e1e8687f099aa6bf180bfae0dce6b452.jpeg98C1485B-57F8-4187-B505-648DD13D82B3.jpeg.f2eafc2db04c90611f0f20a5f90072ec.jpeg

@DRAGON1 that one has a hole in the bottom from bark inclusion. Will send it along with the one I do today. 573A2A56-447B-4DA4-8A19-4626D52F25E8.jpeg.68d0d38ad340bea57c16ad72641a8d16.jpeg

Gerald, that is a beautiful turn.  But, from my years as a systems analyst, I have a couple of questions.  Can it take a glass inside?  Or maybe a metal cup that will fit it nicely?  Can anyone put some resin in the bottom to retain any liquids?  Just curious as I don't really know.  :)

Not specified to fit  glass but yes you could do this and fit it for a glass. I think he plans the epoxy route and the inside is not straight. I have heard of people doing bartop epoxy on these.
