June 27, 20205 yr Popular Post Had a call yesterday from a Woodturner friend that the shop leftovers from a deceased club member was for sale. I called another member and hightailed it over. Paid 45 for the stuff on the table and 25 for the walnut. In only the Frued box blade and the Incra hinge jig is retail over 175. One box has some water based dye powder another a tap and dye set. Sanding discs, a monster turning tool . The green vise I have to do some research. And the push stick.
June 27, 20205 yr Popular Post Alright Blackbeard! Nice haul. The green vise looks to be a PanaVise. I have the square base, the vise base and the two vises that I got at an estate sale also. You're going to like it. It is a great hobby vise. There is a bunch of accessories can be had for it. Here is a link to the site. https://www.panavise.com/index.html?pageID=1&id1=1&startat=1&--woSECTIONSdatarq=1&--SECTIONSword=ww

I wasn't sure the heavy square base plate was really part of it until I saw yours. The bolt holes are perfectly drilled but the swivel base hangs over the edge and I didn't see it offered at their site. Be sure to look around their web site. They have many offerings not shown. Electrical mounts and camera mounts to name a couple.

It has a shaft apparently for mounting , with a slight grove and a screw in the middle of that. The shaft is slightly pover 1 inch and has a hole in it slightly smaller than the hole in the ball mounts. I also kinda wondered about the way that plate overhangs and why is there hat flat on one side. The cost of the ones in the site I have is $222 but plus the two not listed probably over 300 . I had no idea, and the site calls all these heavy duty.

They didn't have as many choices as they have now. It also shows the square plate. I would bet the mounts with the three tabs would fit the plate nicely. I found the catalog at Vintage Machinery. http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=23373 Here's the catalog pdf link. http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/11562/23373.pdf

Problem now is need a 1 1/8 id tube and a clamp to use it. Might be able to build something in wood to hold it in bench vise.
