Looks pretty good for a first. Now welcome to the addiction. From the first the habit spirals upward to bigger lathes and more tools. Just be careful of the cedar dust it can cause some respiratory problems. Pretty daring for a first to do the burn ins.

lots of you tube before Mr. Gerald. and thank you I also know about cedar but always wear a mask when wood working as i already get bronchitis and such frequently. So I wear a really good on with the disc that screw in to the sides. its I mask I was issued as a paramedic but when i was retired that is one thing they do not take back as it is made to fit each person. So yay i just have to buy the filter replacement now.

Puts MY first one to shame!

John

Looks like you just added another arrow to the quiver. It’s beautiful.

Lisa, first of all, it is great to see you posting and know that you have not given up on your hobby.  It is also nice to see you growing and learning.  A really nice job on cedar bowl.  Beautiful job and wood.  Thanks for showing us your growth.

Beautifully done ! Yes the cedar can really cause respiratory problems, so definitely wear a mask when working with it.

That's way better than anything I did for my first several attempts, you will only get better!

Lissa, Very nice. I like working with Cedar too.  Now one good turn deserves another. I'll be looking forward to your next turning.

Very nice Lissa!!

Great Job!!

Very, very well done and much better than my first!

That is very nice Lissa.  I haven't even worked up enough courage to turn a bowl.  Was the cedar dry?
