Also getting some legs under 2020 4H prep work with the girls.  Cedar reclamation for a project underway!

The bookworm is looking good, and looking forward to see what you do with the reclaimed cedar.  I recently passed up a large cedar lined armoire that was at auction.  My rational was that I have too many ongoing projects already...

All done!  I wish I were a better painter but that takes practice which I haven’t had, unfortunately.

This was a fun and simple project and I was overdue to exercise my minimal skills.   My daughter came out, asked if she can attempt a carving for 4H, dug through her grandfathers carving books which I inherited a few years ago, and picked a project reasonable first project last night.  I helped her get started cutting the pattern and she has a good start on her first attempt.  We lost my FIL in 2013.  He was a lifelong carver and convinced me to show a few pieces with him back in the late 90s.  I am certain that her interest, and the fact that my son started dabbling with decorative fishing lures recently would make him smile.  He loved to carve wood!

Thank you!  I got an extra laugh when I had to explain the finer points of the Dunce hat!  I never experienced it and a generation later, they had not even heard of it!  😂

Great whimsical carving . I too got a smile from this project

Looks good to me, we are our own worst critics.

That’s a fact!

That is a great project Brent.  Please post up some pics of the kids projects too, they are family!
