I have continued to scan my collection of Workbench Magazine plans for our guests and members to download from our Files Department, and I thought I'd share the Shop Tips section of the magazine as well.

As is the case with my file downloads for plans from Workbench Magazine, the same applies here, I have received permission from the current Workbench Magazine to publish the old articles and plans on the open source web.

That was a good one indeed, I would not have thought of that

 

I use dowel line up tools all the time but different than what you show...

And I think I ordered these out of the Popular Mechanics magazine in the 1950's. I tried to look see if that company is still around, Brookstone company out of New Hampshire but no could find. I use dowels all the time and couldn't work with out these...and will use them placing these flowers when the time comes.

I looked that Brookstone up and they seem to carry a completely different merchandise than where these dowel line up sets would come from.  Don't know if the one you found was out of New Hampshire or where...?

Thanks RJR with that info. If anyone does not have a set of these I guarantee they will save lots of frustration trying to complete certain jobs. 

Wonder why they used yellow paper.......I swear I can't help myself sometimes.
