I was wondering where my boat and helicopter went !

It certainly is an upgrade from what we had recently.  Thanks for your generous donation, Al.

And, we don't need to cut a canal to Gene.  We can simply put him on the helo and fly him in and out.  Thanks to whomever negotiated the deal.  It would have been nice if you had given Al a certificate of appreciation.  :Laughing:

True story - at a local Walmart about 1 year ago, a little aged lady sitting in a manual wheelchair outside the door was trying to tell an aged man something.  Her voice was soft and low.  The man wearing a ballcap with "veteran of Korean War" was bent over with his ear in her face.  She would say a few words and then he would shout, "Who?  What?  Where?"  He could be heard out into the parking lot.

Thanks, John.  Shame that adults have to be reminded of such things.  Shame on those who come here, leave and spread gossip.  If you're not happy, please just leave.  Those of us who want to nag and pick at one another and help each other will make our own exit at our own time.  Oops!  Said way too much.

I am missing some mighty fine craftsman around here.  I haven't been here for the past few days.  Too much time at the doc's and one of the local grocery stores where I shop had a shooting yesterday.  But, thank God, I am alive and recovering and doing well.  New pills to take if I can remember them at the right time.  Hmmmm.  Maybe an alarm clock?  Any ideas about that?  I'll be back tomorrow, Good Lord willing.

If you give us your phone number we could take turns calling you to remind you to take your pills.

We’re gonna hafta build a canal to Gene’s house so we can pick him up. Go up the Saint Lawrence seaway to Lake Michigan we should be able to pick some more of the guys. The New England chapter (All 4 of us) can get picked up in Al’s Home town, Salisbury. We got any retired Navy know how to make this thing go?

@Artie,

I thought there were 3 New Englanders.  Who is the 4th?

Have you forgotten our friend from Derry NH Artie, Haven't seen him posting lately. He may have moved to the Concord area.

I haven’t seen a post from the NH gentleman lately, but Mr Courtland is still to be included in the NE Chapter. (He’s John’s alter-ego) (Kinda like undercover boss LOL)

Should we organize a search party or put out an APB?

Look at it like this: it's  a weight loss program.  You lose some weight when you get chewed on right?  :JawDrop:

Yeah my ex wife had high hopes I would get waxed in Iraq.  Got injured enough to be sent to Germany for treatment and recovery 3 times, still went back to work.

Still came back, and to really top it off I brought home my new wife.

Ex never saw it coming.  Come to think about it nobody in my family or friends did either.  Seems I never bothered to mention I was dating anyone for the 3 years I was gone.
