WHen I was doing the radius edge, I forgot the well for the blade and as I was merrily routing along, the bearing plunged onto the well leaving a circular cut. I took a forstner bit the same diam. and cleaned up the hole and made a round insert to fill it back in. It made a nice place to put my Bug. Got lucky on that one. Herb Well that's a good story too, but I like mine that they were planned. Regardless how they ended up there they are so very cool and really enhance the character of the plane so...looks like you've got to incorporate that design into the working model.
