February 27, 20197 yr comment_180256 Thanks for this posts and some beautiful work. It got me motivated so I broke out a hand plane tonight and stayed at it trying to get some worthwhile results. After some time I was successful in squaring up a piece of scrap 2x4. Might have to look into getting ahold of a better plane. Now how I am going to pay for some of the ones I saw is a whole other problem. Report

Sharpen it like a mirror and you will love it. Herb Report

The 1st pic is the mock-up I did over the week end, the 2,3,4th, pics are the new one. I moved the opening back toward the handle an inch, and lowered the medallion on this one. Herb Report

I tried it out,Gerald and it work pretty good once I got the blade set correctly, it doesn't like knots though. LOL I think it works better than the proto type by moving the cutter back an inch.
