November 14, 20187 yr Popular Post I have requests for showing how I thread the bolt and nuts in the TP Dispenser Post. It is the same way that you thread metal rods, and tap metal plate for bolts. I use Slipit for a lubrication so as to not tear out the threads. Here I show an oak dowel and maple nuts. I use Slipit on drawers rails, drawer slides, and any wood that needs to slide. https://www.slipit.com/all-products/...ding-compound/

November 15, 20187 yr Thanks Herb for showing the process...Like your wooden hinges, I enjoy the uniqueness & extra detail in your projects.

November 15, 20187 yr Thanks for showing how to do this. Now where do I go to buy the tools to make my own? Preston
November 15, 20187 yr Dadio, what is the main ingredient in slipit? It says a sealing compound but does it double as the glue? How does it strengthen the threads from fracture?

November 15, 20187 yr Thanks Herb, I was wondering if the TP holders shaft came apart like a regular bolt or not, or if you just slipped the roll over the shaft. Nice pictorial tutorial as to how you went about it. @Stick486 The sight of your various forms of TP brought tears to my eyes. OUCH! It brought back memories of when I had to have surgery after having my first colonoscopy. Some how when they Roto-Rooted me they tore the rectal lining, and I had to have surgery to correct it. I couldn't sit for at least 6 weeks, they ended up removing about 40% of my Wrecked Rectum. Needless to say I refuse to go through that again. That isn't happening, No Way!!!I don't care what they say. Edited November 15, 20187 yr by Larry Buskirk
