November 20, 20187 yr Author comment_167104 Hate throwing stuff away..... OK, Shop is normally closed on Mondays.....yeah, yeah....wanted to get a few things done, so I can start on the next item... Router was still set up with the round over bit...gave the top and bottom of the lid a rounding over....helped centering the lid on the box... Also a little more room for the hinge's barrel to fit in... Like this. Got the lid's hinge mortises done, transferred the locations to the box.. Needed pilot holes for them TINY screws... Had all kinds of hand tools out.... Small, wood handled screwdriver....needed an even smaller one later... Mainly for them handles....BTW, there is nothing propping the lid open... Takes a VERY small phillips screw...and, I even clocked the slots on them..had re-coated the bare oak with shellac..remembered the foot pads.. Stand this back up on the feet... Will rub this out, tomorrow....in the midst of hauling stuff to the shop....looky what I found.. That be a normal sized No.2 pencil....bit is actually smaller around. Might find some use for it? Next "project"? Wwellllllllllllll, just have to stay tuned.. Report

November 20, 20187 yr Author comment_167138 Little box will be heading to the Dealership, when I drop off the van payment.....Will let them decide what to "stash" in there. No Varnish in the shop...will just buff things out real smooth, and call it done. Cordless keyboard chose this morning to die in place....even new batteries couldn't "save" it.....I do have a "spare" of sorts. Corded, "Hi-Vis" BRIGHT YELLOW buttons....will have to do, until I can get a new keyboard.... Next Project? Just a "simple" table.... Report

I see keyboards quite often although probably not wireless. 1 hour ago, steven newman said: Little box will be heading to the Dealership, Nice gesture. I'm sure it will be appreciated. Report
