Still Tinkering With Color

I wanted to try using latex paint to fade from one tint to another. I used the multi color ply and some maple. I kept tinkering until I liked the effect and sprayed it with poly.  The one thing that is missing is the wood look, but I guess if I turned it, it still counts.

I think it's pretty, a lot of color for my taste but that's a personal thing. Nice form

Me too Steve, but I have a wife and daughters that love colors and you can only do so much with wood. The color ply is about as radical as I go, It is not true wood, fabricated in colors. I do like it, wife and girls love it:D

Nice shape, Ron!

Maybe you could do an in depth "how-to" tutorial and we could feature it in an "Wednesday's Wisdom..."

I don't think I could do that Lew. I'm one of those people that creates as I go and instinctively know what to do next or how to change it. I don't think I can put it in words that would help anyone.

Form looks good. I like the color. If you want a "wood look" you could use dye instead.

That trait is what makes your work so intriguing and interesting....every piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art.

I admire & envy your creativity.
