I've been the scrap pile again, experimenting with wood and acrylic glitter.  The ball is thin pieces of Yellow Hart and Bubinga (I think). The shaft is plain ole pine. I painted the pine and I layered the glitter in thick layers in the crease and allowed to dry overnight, then repeated with the glitter. It came out OK and I think I may have an effect I'll use in the future

Ok maybe it is me . I like the ball but glitter is just not my thing. The layering (lamination ) in the ball is perfect

I don't really like it much, but if you get an idea and don't try it........you'll never know. 

You may find a new technique that highlights you whole project................or not so much:D
