Got some good news from my DIL in Asheville ,NC. She sold one of my Ringmaster bowls with carved bottom in here store in the River Arts District. Ok not the first time I have sold anything but the first for this price on a truning. So yeah I feel good like I knew I would.

Love the bottom on that. I had a ringmaster for a while and just couldn't get over that clunky bottom so I sold it. If I'd seen what you're doing I might have kept it.

Kinda mines me ov tha lady who came wanted me to build'er a bread box that opened from top. I had turned an ol timey kerosenene lamp, put glass globe on, had it settin outa tha way.  She spyed it, "How much for that?"  "25." Said not a word, walked back toward'er car. Thought I'd insulted'er er something. Came back handed me a twenty & five.

I turned nothern, carryed it out to little country store. Told the lady $35. if anyone wanted it. next time i went, "Buck  Doc wants to know if you'll turn'm two, said he'd give ya $75." YOU BET I TURNED'M placed glass globs on'm, took'm to tha store, next time got $75. made me plum tickled. Aint seen er heard ov'm since. Cya 

Those stairsteps that go across the bottom and up the other side is a unique detail. Plus the carved bottom.

Belated congrats @Gerald...missed them somehow...seeing this makes me wish I'd bought that used Ringmaster with a pile of blanks and wood at a yard sale for $125 a few years back...but then again...

Not really because I would never had turned anything out like yours...

 

The bottom is just too cool. The pattern is too...Better get another one ready now.
