Can't post my work yet as it is a present my son is giving this weekend. SWMBO asked for a couple of frames and am working on those right now.

Herb, any time I can be associated in name or skill with John Moody is a good day.  The coves were cut out of an 8" wide board with a raised panel bit.  You cut the board to width and put two narrow sides together with an accent strip and viola , it is done.  The hardest part is planing the accent strip thin enough to fit but thick enough to sand.  It was a trick I learned from Wood mag a number of years ago.

Thanks, John, my new sander will do the thicknessing of the accent strip just fine.

 

I think it is a toss up on which one of you guys is the better craftsman. You each equally do quality work on  your different project. Also your both production war horses, for the amount you do.
