I had an email from Brent English yesterday. For those who don't recognize that name he is the creator of Robust wood turning lathes. He told me I won a Robust tool rest for my "gnarly Christmas tree" entry in the Christmas ornament challenge this year. I chose the four inch comfort rest because it fills a need for me. From what he said though I could've have had any one of them from their line up. Very generous.

    Wouldn't that be a hoot!? I've got the green light on one but just have to convince myself it's what I want to do. Would also love to have an xcarve. Sad part is, I've lost enough on my ira the last few days to just buy one! LOL :(

    It's been painful the past several days for sure. I know you'll keep us posted on the lathe. It'll look good sitting next to the PM.

    That would never work. I'd have to get about twice what I paid for the PM before I ever ordered the Robust! It's been a good lathe.
