I had an email from Brent English yesterday. For those who don't recognize that name he is the creator of Robust wood turning lathes. He told me I won a Robust tool rest for my "gnarly Christmas tree" entry in the Christmas ornament challenge this year. I chose the four inch comfort rest because it fills a need for me. From what he said though I could've have had any one of them from their line up. Very generous.

Wouldn't that be a hoot!? I've got the green light on one but just have to convince myself it's what I want to do. Would also love to have an xcarve. Sad part is, I've lost enough on my ira the last few days to just buy one! LOL

It's been painful the past several days for sure. I know you'll keep us posted on the lathe. It'll look good sitting next to the PM.

That would never work. I'd have to get about twice what I paid for the PM before I ever ordered the Robust! It's been a good lathe.
