I don't do turning, but have some friends that do.    Here is a recent one that one top honors at the local Woodcraft store.   In the last couple years, he's gotten into segmented turning and has some neat fixtures to help  glue them up.   The ghostly stool is a reflection in the glass display case.

    I am going to guess that is a ringmaster bowl. Nice piece . Been meaning to get back to making some but just have not had a chance.

    Nice work! I think that's a vortex bowl. There is a guy in our club who has been playing with idea.

    Over on Woodworking Friends site a lot of members have RingMasters and are using them to make the Vortex Bowls. I guess it is much easier than using the lathe.
