A lady saw my "gnarly Christmas tree" video and asked if I could make her a tree to display her miniature, glass, hummingbird collection. Had a great piece of spalted beech I used for the base. I'm hoping she'll post some pictures after she gets her birds on it.

WoW! You are an artist Steve. Great symmetry.

What vision for that old piece of beech...

Hope so too...you'll re-post here, right?

Nice Steve.  It would be great to see the birds on it.  Did she give you an idea of what they weigh?

ewwww the talent...

Great looking young man. Kinda proud of you.

Thanks to everyone!! We did not discuss that Dan but the "limbs" will handle about 1.5 ounces without flexing too much. Can't imagine they'd weigh much more than that. I mean, a full size real hummingbird can't be much heavier can it? :)

Steve

I'm betting you're in the ball park at 1.5 oz.

The lady who bought the tree just posted pictures on facebook. It appears to have worked well for her and she seems well pleased with it.

When I was trying to do the Cindy Drozda boxes I did several of them. This lady, next to me, might be my biggest fan and has purchased from me a few times. I threw one of the little boxes in as a surprise and she liked that as well.

Very cool.  I like it when a plan comes together.

All the items enhance and complement each other...

Very upscale all around. Obvious why she purchases items from you.

Thanks Steve for posting the completed project.

Nice lampwork, too.  :)
