September 19, 20178 yr comment_125098 @Stick486, @lew, @Smallpatch Thanks guys for the heads-up and info. I had not seen or heard about this... I'm running a 32bit Windows 7 but appears I missed that version release...my current v5.34.6207 I don't think I received an email from Piriform announcing this either...kinda troubling. Report

September 19, 20178 yr comment_125138 When I tried to download the newest version, it said the latest one was already installed. This is on a Kindle. Amazon may have updated it automatically and I missed it. Lots of stuff goes on that I miss. Report

September 19, 20178 yr comment_125159 I used to use CC Cleaner and several other utilities. When my hard drive died my IT guy said that most of those programs just cause more problems. He Recommended Super Anti Spyware and Malwarebytes. If you are running windows it can be set up to automatically clean and defrag so those programs are not needed. No Problems since except when I forget to runs those two programs and things slow down. Report

Turn off the CCleaner's option for cleaning the registry. Registry entries don't take up that much space. Unless you are constantly installing/uninstalling programs the registry doesn't change much. Don't forget, keep your antivirus up to date! Report

September 27, 20178 yr comment_126222 I've been using Malwarebytes and CCleaner for years and years along with my anti virus software. Never had a problem. Mylwarebytes paid version, caught the CCleaner Trojan when I download the particular version that had the Trojan. I wouldn't go without the paid version Malwarebytes. The main and important difference is the paid version catches "stuff" in real time and stops ''stuff'' coming into your computer. The free version finds it when you do a scan and it is already on your computer. I will continue to use both. Report
