scrap from a 4x6 beam.  will be stained and poly'd, then given as a gift to a Lady who is letting me hunt on her ranch next month.

Nice.  Pine can be really pretty but it's such a chore to work with it.  I admire anyone who makes nice pieces out of pine.

I like the look of pine.  It does take a lot of patience.  Nicely done.

Nice! You must have had really sharp tools. I always get a lot of tearout when I try to turn pine.

Nice carbide cutters from Rockler. And some sanding. 

 

Stain tomorrow. 

That sure looks like doug fir to me. I like the design of the bowl does showcase the grain.
