August 25, 20178 yr Popular Post Good Friday evening to all of the Patriot Woodworkers out there. Mr. Moody is in top secret stealth mode today. John is a range safety officer at a gun range in Florence, Alabama and their range is one of 50 ranges in the United States that have been selected to be part of a special "revealing" tonight at 10 P.M. This reveal is part of Glock's campaign to reveal new models that are coming out. They have been very secretive about the whole thing and even though rumors abound, even the staff isn't 100% sure what the new gun(s) are. Having said that, I finished my end of the bookcase chair today by adding the shelf pin sleeves and the drawer. Hopefully, the cushion will be finished by Monday and we can transport this wildebeest to its new home so that I can attach the seat back Here are a couple of pictures but I have to ask y'all, "What's on your agenda for the weekend?".
August 25, 20178 yr That looks really great, Ron! As for me, I am not really sure. I think the wife has something up her sleeve. She has left me in the shop the past few weekends (she even helped me last weekend - she painted the ceiling panels and then helped me install them) so I think the weekend will be spent doing something she wants to do together.

August 25, 20178 yr Saturday- going to Safety Officer class all day for IDPA Sunday - helping put on an IDPA intro class for new shooters, half day. Shop will be quiet.
August 25, 20178 yr Ron, that looks stellar, way to go sir. There are going to be some very happy sitter readers in that chair! I am plugging away at the balcony shade structure for our home this weekend, I hope to have the balcony finished by Sunday.
August 25, 20178 yr Author I have to ask the dumb question, John. Is that a patio door and will it end up being a deck? My weapon of choice depends on what I'm wearing. If I have a jacket on, it is either a Glock 23 or a Taurus PT111 G2 (both 9's). If I have shorts and a polo, it is a S&W bodyguard 380 in my right front pocket.

August 26, 20178 yr Thoughts and prayers for those on the Gulf Coast in the path of Harvey. Can't imagine getting 125 mph winds and 35" of rain in a day.

Think I will take a week off this project after being on it for 5 weeks so far not counting the initial tear down of pews last year. Hey Ron is that chair for the reader as in Grandpa or the listener? Keith here is hoping those people had the sense to evacuate in front of a cat 4.

August 26, 20178 yr Had our family picnic at a local park two weeks ago. The Family Reunion in Pittsburgh is this weekend. I will be giving the pens I made for my cousins.
