At least not with dueling swords. We are almost competing for the final few feet of wall and window space. Then what?

Good or bad most of whats in the picture we are guiltyIMG_8613.JPG.951607ecc8d9b661835c88f6cc4e5516.JPG

The bookcase with the drawers was about the last piece of furniture I built besides the bathroom remodel

That's my kind of "HOME" Jess, lived in, art work, eclectic, not boring, when a human walks into that space, they know they are with wonderful folks, I love it.

+1 for what John said!

Reminds me of coming home to my grandmothers home. So cozy and warm.

I always dreaded going to either grand parents homes when I was a kid.... Both were full of moth balls...

I just read recently where putting a layer of moth balls around a persons house will keep critters from sleeping under your house.

I don't know about critters but I for one would go and ask the home owner to remove the smell so I could have a place to sleep at night..

Only way to get more space is add on to the house.  Do a great room, as they call it, with high ceilings.  Next time you take a picture get the Patriot Woodworker home page on the computer first.

One smelled of pink lozenges and coconut cream cake, the other was steamed hamburgers (Sloppy Joes)

Looks inviting Patch...what are your room rates since @LarryS has banned me & @It Was Al B?

BTW, what's in the "Munchie's Jar?":P

The paintings, the clocks, the ceramics, the book cases, the stained glass, the quilt, the brass lantern, and everything else fill the room with memories of happy times. Owning a house is nice, but this is the portrait of a " HAPPY HOME".

Hey, Patch, I spy some areas on the fireplace front and sides that would make dandy places for cuttings...........  Just sayin

Dave it would be hard for anyone to guess. I had just washed the Munchie jar and here she came with a handful of plastic bags?? go figure.  Now the taller one, a cookie jar, the VA doctor recommended I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day.. thats good to lower the bad callestrols.   and since that is a big hassle since I don't usually eat anything for breakfast except coffee., my wife makes me oatmeal cookies to kinda take the place of the oatmeal... So I eat that jar full of cookies every week. I don't know if this set up lowers anything but it sure makes me gain weight, wait. I weighted 160 the day I got out of the army and that is exactly what I way now.

Fred my wife goes and finds this thing attached to the front of the fire place she bought somewhere and it is made of pressed wood crud. I tried to get rid of it but she throwed a fit...

Bookcase with drawers: I couldn't see it!

Patch a home is what you make of it and it looks like you made it look really comfy to me.

Word of warning. Watch out for that @Grandpadave52. He'll try to weasel his way in your house for a room.  :D

I love it, kinda of reminds me of my home, office and shop. I added on and still need more space.
