January 11, 20179 yr Hi all, I ask this question, because i am having a real hard time finding a drill bit or drill bit set with any quality other than bad. I have purchased 2 7mm drill bits over the last few years, and both were pretty much dull out of the package. can someone point me to a place that makes quality drill bits? I prefer Brad point, but it isn't absolutely required. Thanks
January 11, 20179 yr I have a set of these, been using them for over 6 years (a lot) and they are still performing like new. Page down and you see the metric size.

October 8, 20178 yr A suggestion.... Things made 20 years ago are better than today and cheaper. I buy a lot of older bits... Edited October 8, 20178 yr by BillyJack
October 8, 20178 yr Someone knowledgeable about such said that in the Asian sets, only a couple of sizes of bits were properly hardened, "Because that's what most people use the most often." "There is hardly anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and those people who consider price only, are this man's lawful prey. It is unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money - that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot; it cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better" John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)
