Schnewj's Measureing Tip

Featured Replies

A while back Schnewj gave a tip in the "Measurements" topic about using metric for easily dividing measurements - it is super easy to divide 500 mm in half rather than 19 11/16". I used this tip in the shop a few times here in the past week and it is soooo easy to use.

Great TIP!!

I am keeping it in mind but haven't used it yet.  I agree that Schnewj came up with a good idea I just wish he would change his name to something easier to spell and type.  Something like Bill would be good.

If I put in "Bill" I was not sure if people would know who I was talking about. I wanted to make sure credit was given where the credit was due.

I guess we have to put up with all these criminals with their "AKA".

Use Schnooge instead...easier to type; harder to say... :)

B**ch, b**ch, b**ch, b**ch, b**ch. Get over it. I'll answer to anything, as a matter of fact there are few names I haven't been called...usually by the ex and those I caught with their fingers in the cookie jar. Call me anything you want to, just don't hide the doughnuts from me. I try and resist but there is just something about hot glazed doughnuts.

Now, see what you've done. All of this has gone and made me hungry!

Stick...what pastries did "K" deliver this week. I need a snack...If I bring treats do you think the dogs would let me out of the truck?

Oppps! Where were we?  I lost track.

= 9.84252" yep you're right!

Naw! Those look like those nasty Kripy-Kreme's that they started selling in the New Orleans area a couple of decades ago! Those things were absolutely TERRIBLE! I'm talking about those light, flaky, sweet and HOT glazed doughnuts I used to get by the dozen before these pretenders showed up.

Where did you come up with that figure?

You used the wrong equation...

Here   500mm / 2 = 250mm

Which is...wait for it..................................

250 mm=9.8452 or 9-13/16":o

Which would you rather remember in the ole maxed out hard drive between yer ears?

I can't believe that you resorted to an online conversion program instead of using that user friendly Quantum Mechanics equation that I offered.

Well for rough work I'd just use 9.84...but if it was finish work well then a little more precise  9.8425197 ^_^ Anyways, just round it up to 10...that's the method they teach in school now.

Get everything from the internet...it couldn't be out there if it wasn't true...
