June 7, 201610 yr Author comment_66760 Well, it seems a certain pup named Max decided to try to chew on one of the rocker ends Even Anna is giving him a dirty look.....decided to haul the rocker outside to the back porch, and apply a coat of Witch's Brew......Rocker is now sitting in the Gazebo, to keep other things away from it, until the first coat dries. BLO STINKS! You can almost smell it half a block away....and, withut further ado... Seen here,sitting beside the "Pattern" Rocking chair. Just one coat..so far hey, I think I got it close? Report

My very humble opinion on this subject Steve, perhaps with a ton of nooks and crannies, the brush is what I would use. Spray may miss the crevices and such. How about brush on a 3 part mix of varnish, oil, and spirits, let set for 15 minutes, then wipe down, repeat two or three more times and you got a run free finish with a protective coating as well. I am biased though, I hate spraying anything, I'll wipe on when I can. Again, IMHO. Report

I loved hearing that sound as I rocked back on forth on the porch. Would almost put you to sleep. The porch swing was the same way. Report
