Made a mess on the floor

Because, after resawing two blanks for stretchers, I needed to plane them S4S with this thing

A Stanley No. 5 I rebuilt out of a box of spare parts a friend sent me.   Might have it tuned about right?

Laid out for how long the stretchers needed to be, between the front and back posts.   Tenons will be too long, can be adjusted to fit for length later.   Got out a saw to cut a few tenons..

That line around the bottom is how long the stretchers need to be, between the posts.  Saw is removing 3/16" off of each face.   Rip cut down to the base line, crosscut to remove the waste, cleaned up with a rasp

yep, Olde School ways... Kept at it, until all tenons were done..

Note the saw dust pile?   Another about the same size is on the floor..  Needed to sweep the shop floor..AGAIN.

Laid out for a few motises, for the next time I can sneak off to the Dungeon Shop..

That big black hole?   That is for the vise's dogs to go.   Now, IF I can just sneak back down there......I might get something more done, today?

Have 3/4" brads in the joints, for now.   Will replace with fancier pins later on....

I gotta say, watching things come together in your shop is fun!
