I had an idea to make a Christmas tree ornament using a different technique.  Knowing how many of these ideas lead no where and can destroy fine exotic wood, I elected to use Pine sacrifice wood. As I turned it became apparent that the pine was not a good idea and it did everything I didn't want it to do, including chip out, split, come apart etc

When I showed my wife the basic structure of the piece, she loved it and wouldn't let me destroy it. It is out of round, uneven and distorted. 

So IF I post the picture of the final product. I'll say  SHE MADE IT
