    Drums will burn not only from sawdust excess on the paper but especially from pitch pockets in the wood.

     

    ESPECIALLY WITH MAPLE AND PINE. (IMHO)

     

    try less pressure and it shouldn't burn. (as much)

     

    I just get out the pad sander.

     

    The router does the same thing occasionally.

    WE HAVE 120 ON THE SHOP MACHINE. 2 PASSES REMOVES MOST OF THE PLANER CHATTER BUT WE GO AHEAD AND USE A PAD SANDER WITH 120 AND IT FINISHES OUT PERFECT.
