August 1, 201114 yr I just got a new Dewalt scrollsaw and I am having a problem squaring the blade. When I use a 2" square and square the blade I will cut a small circle it is smaller at the bottom then the top. I go slow and am careful not to hurry. If I level the table top it is worse. My old scroll saw never gave me this problem. I do intarsia work only. It is driving me crazy!! If anyone out there lives in the New Orleans area let me know.Greg Aksdal said:If anybody has any questions about scrolling, ask away, with all these scrollers on here I'll bet we can come up with an answer your questions . Greg
August 1, 201114 yr Wished I lived closer, Pa here. But if your blades have a small burr on the back side from stamping they can also cause this. Instead of cutting straight they have a tendency to want to cut to the right throwing you off line easily. I take a very fine file, turn the saw on and rub it against the back side of the blade and works like a charm. Hope this helps some. Wayne MahlerGod bless and protect our troops that serve so we can be free.
