I have a Jet Contractor Saw with 52" Xacta fence sitting on a Shop Fox mobile base. I bought it back in 2001and it has done a great job by me. I added in a router plat in the extension table and used it as my router table with my PC 690 router as well for a few years until I got a dedicated router table and larger Freud 3000 3hp router. It still gets used on occasion when I have to do multiple routing tasks. I also added in some storage drawers underneath the extension table which has been wonderful! I also have a folding out feed table from Rockler which works real well. Since I have to keep everything mobile and stored on the single car side of the garage when not in use, this set up works great.

I'm had my Griz 1023 for 6 years now. Wish I had waited a year to get one with a riving knife but this will serve me well the rest of my lifetime.

Here is mine.

 

It was in the local PennySaver for $75. Sometimes the blade needs a good spinning to get motor started. Other than that, "no hay quejas"

I have in my shop a sears Craftsman 10" 3 horse contractor's saw with a nice wide side table on the right as well as a 4' outfeed table that serves for make ups at times as well as a good surface for making drawings to scale.

Since I have my saw anchored and level on all four corners I can stand a nickle on it's edge next to the throat and turn the saw on and never have to worry that the nickle will fall over. I used nothing but the best Italian blade on the market which is a thin kerf blade with the lazor cut configuration to keep the blades from wabbling.

For many years I was down on Sears Craftsman tools until I got this saw which I am proud to own it but, it is the only Craftsman tool in my shop except for one 7 1/4" circular saw that hardly ever gets used.

Well, we have a Jet cabinet saw with 52" fence as our primary saw-

And a Ryobi bench top model as a secondary-

I've been blessed with having two saws. One is an 1940s  Rockwell 12-14 cabinet saw. The other is a Felder saw/shaper combo bought is 1999. I've been asked a few time why I don't clean up and paint the Rockwell. Maybe I will some but it cuts just fine the way it is.

 

Craftsman 10" contractor from the mid 70s

My 50" JET Contractor's saw, image below, started out as a 30"

I removed the right side table and moved it to  the left side.  I then made new 50" rails and a new right side table.  Then made the huge outfeed table on the back.  I can rip 4' x 8' plywood lenghtwise, and it will still stay on the outfeed table.

 

I can post the detailed conversion plans here for anyone who wants them.

 

To complement the saw, I now have a Jessum Miter Excel miter guage the that has a tenth of a degree capability.  See image below.

This is what I have from memory. I'm sure I've forgotten some of them. My favorite saws are the Whitney's and the Wadkins. They're well built and a joy use. They also have beautiful lines.

I also have a bunch of modern contractor type saws. I know there's at least one Bosch and one Ryobi. Also a couple of old Unisaws.

A Bridgewood (similar to Grizzly) 10" with storage all around. Have to use every available piece of available space in this tiny shop.

After looking at all the saw pictures here one might wonder if anyone has a saw with a blade guard on it?  The guard is missing my dad's Jet too, so I operate in the danger zone also.

I personally think that if you have your saw tuned up right (to prevent kick back) and use the proper ripping methods to ensure safety, blade guards are not needed.

Did you ever see one on Norm's Unisaw?

I'll show mine tomorrow, it's ready for some TLC as it's been in a damp basement for about five years nowand has a broken heart So tomorrow I'll take it apart and bring it up to the light of dayAs now it's time to make it shine

Sure enough, I forgot my Fay & Egan Lightning dual arbor sliding table saw and my  two Tannewitz J250's.
