October 30, 20178 yr comment_129592 I think that grain will pop with just a clear finish. I like spray can shellac for a sanding sealer and lacquer or clear acrylic for a top coat. It's going to beautiful whatever you do. Steve Report

(Danish oil or even BLO will have even less protection and lower sheen). I tried reading Krenov a few times. He'd say things like, "Let the wood tell you what to do with it." I must be hard of hearing because I never heard it say anything. Plus, everything I've seen done "Krenov inspired" is one of those cabinets on stands.
