  1. I received an interesting news letter by Highland Woodworking this morning with a link to the following article, a plea to buy quality, over cheap. And to support the American worker. People Take Warning OPEN.SUBSTACK.COM Your favorite toolmaker can disappear.

rooster got his clothes back on

Finished installing this guy in his barn yard. Just what the lady of the house ordered.... Yep the biscuits were the problem again... maybe I'll learn someday.. I will stain the bottom a dark color so it won't show where the gaps are visible before he gets glued down so he won't run off while searching for the love of his life... It took a while designing his feathers but thanks to the Dremel it was fun. After I glued the pieces down on some cardboard it was more than five days I had finished coloring and spraying them and that is too long and the glue was a bugger taking if off....I usually remove the glue the next day. Did I mention the bottles of coloring had a made in the USA on most of the bottles.

If You Must Purchase a Workbench

Let's face it, not all woodworkers have the time nor the willingness to build a workbench, a commercial shop for example, may just want to get a few benches in their shop, and fast. Or even a small shop like most of us have, not all of us are motivated to make our own bench, we just want to get to work! There are many brands out there, and most of them from the big outfits, are not inexpensive, but, I found a really neat outfit that is selling their benches, Made in the USA, for a very reasonable cost. Check em out at: Nice benches, nice prices. Great craftsmanship, and good vises, they are not skimping, they are installing Veritas type vises. The good stuff.
