John Morris 1 Quote John Moody 3,609 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Beth and I stayed at Pleasant Hill Shaker Village a couple of years ago. Here are some pictures we took while there. A beautiful place to visit and I recommend staying there and really enjoying the whole experience. Any building with two fronts doors was for both men and women. Men entered through one door and women through the other. If there was only one door then it was either a building for the women or men. This was the building that has been restored and we stayed in the room downstairs o n the right. The building was built in 1844. A beautiful spiral staircase in one of the Centre Houses. Beautiful weaving on a Shaker Chair. This was a beautiful piece in the hall. And this will give you an idea how big it was. The property at Pleasant Hill has been very nicely restored and the rates are very reasonable to stay on the property in one of the buildings that has been restored. I have many more pictures if you are interested in seeing more. Quote Join the conversation You are posting as a guest. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account.
